The report depicts about the eviction of villagers from their land in Nyamuma. A number of people were tortured with most of them loosing their properties. In principle, the story gives a clear picture of violation of human rights in Tanzania.
The Tanzania Political Parties survey was first conducted in Unguja and Pemba in November 2003. A similar survey was conducted in the mainland Tanzania, in June 2004. Regions involved in the mainland were Dar es Salaam, Kagera, Kilimanjaro and Mbeya.
The Centre embarked on a study in the Serengeti National Park, particularly in areas bordering the Park in Tarime and Serengeti districts. The study began in mid-December, 2001, and ended on March, 2002. Its findings managed to reveal several incidents of human rights abuses.
